九條日菜所居住的鎌倉存在著一個傳說，如果有人聽到常人聽不到的一首歌，聽到的人就會在7天之內死亡。日菜某一天就聽到了這首歌，但是她並不害怕自己會死，甚至還想再聽這首歌，於是就去找唱這首歌的人。後來才知道，這首歌是由屬於聖歌隊的美優與里子演唱的，而她們唱這種歌，就是為了要讓存在於世間的邪惡靈魂「荒魂」上天堂。而日菜會聽得到她們唱歌，就是因為自己也是能夠唱這種歌的人！
